Somatic Experiencing for Trauma

I use the Somatic Experiencing lens to support you feeling comfortable and safe in your body and the world.

Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a body-orientated modality.  SE supports your nervous system find regulation. When the nervous system is regulated, there is more capacity and resilience available. The nervous system is a fascinating part of our functioning that keeps us safe in the most efficient way without needing to think about it in times of danger. This is brilliant when it is needed. When it is no longer needed it can cause suffering.

The nervous system can reset with a little support through different explorations and a trained eye. SE has the ability to support the completion of self-protective responses that happen in the body during a traumatic experience.  When completion of the trapped charge releases in the body, resolve and healing occur.
